SEO Companies Do Not Really Care About The Results
There are a number of SEO as well as web marketing forums where the members are ever so often engaged in an argument about the ethics of SEO. The main topics of discussion are the ethics of the SEO marketing type. The main problem being that no two companies are the same and thus there is no unified methodology. Most of these members are confused while debating as there is a general confusion about what exactly SEO is? Another disadvantage is that since every company keeps their methods and ideologies secret every company will have different results.
Firstly there is no exact definition of SEO. Basically it can be defined as the method used by companies to increase the traffic of a certain website. But how this is conducted is the real question and this is exactly what the centre of most debates is. The effectiveness of the SEO method of a certain company is dependent on a number of variables. These variables include the site structure, site content and most importantly the keywords used. A company cannot just use any keyword because then it will not have any viewers which are against the whole concept.
There are quite a few companies that not only use the search engine optimization method but also make use of the search engine manipulation method. But these companies obviously do not state this and the method are marketed as SEO in general. This method of search engine manipulation is unethical and is only used for a short term. This will not work as a long term method as it usually ends up with the domain name getting banned. The Search engine optimization method is exactly the opposite and at the same time is completely ethical and also will provide long term benefits.
There are a number of companies that do not care much for the results. They implement a couple of plans for a website but do not really care if it works or not. The main reason being they get paid for their work irrespective of the results. They know that even if they lose their client there is always another client waiting in line. So basically if you approach an SEO company you are not guaranteed that your site will be among the top ranking sites. A number of companies tend to use both ethical as well as unethical methods together so as to optimize the search engine. They tend to use a number of unethical inbound linking strategies. In order to maximize their profit they tend to buy a number of links in bulk at a much cheaper price.
It is definitely not a good thing to characterize the SEO industry based only on the results provided by a handful of companies. Thus, there is no exact way in determining the pros as well as the cons of the SEO industry. It is very important to understand the work done by many companies and the methods they have implemented and then only make a judgment on whether the methods have been successful. There are many clients that have been buried by SEO companies and have left a bad taste in their mouth.
